Key Job Details – Labor & Delivery RN
- Location: Salem, MA 01970 (Massachusetts healthcare jobs)
- Unit: Labor & Delivery/Postpartum (S-Birthplace Labor & Delivery)
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Night shifts, every other weekend, plus one night of call per week
- Hours per Week: 36 or 48 hours available
- Contract Length: 13-week travel nursing contract (Start: 1/18/2026 – End: 4/18/2026)
- Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
- Charting System: EPIC EMR
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Care
- Active Massachusetts RN License (MA nursing license required)
- BLS, NRP, and EFM certifications (EFM required every 2 years for Labor & Delivery nurses)
- ACLS certification preferred
- Ability to circulate in the operating room (OR nursing experience)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum settings
- Circulate in the operating room for C-sections and surgical procedures
- Monitor and assess patients, administer medications, and document care using EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth experience
- Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff
