Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in an Emergency Room (ER) setting
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in the Emergency Room
- Assess, triage, and monitor patients with acute and emergent conditions
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and follow established ER protocols
- Support and educate patients and families throughout their ER visit
