Travel Nursing Job Details

- Shift: 3x12-Hour Nights (19:00 - 07:30)
- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 2/9/2026 – End: 5/11/2026)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Ratio: 1:3
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Float Requirement: May float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or Ohio state license)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry
- EPIC charting experience required
- Previous travel nurse experience preferred
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or supervisor)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
PCU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with renal, hepatology, cardiology, pulmonology, and adult cystic fibrosis diagnoses
- Manage cardiac drips (no titration), heparin and insulin protocols, high flow O2, and heated high flow O2
- Start IVs, interpret dysrhythmias, and provide central line care and management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
- Float to other nursing units within the organization as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health record system
- Participate in rotating holidays and some weekend shifts
