- Unit: 11 West Doan Hall General Medicine (Med/Surg)
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
- Start Date: January 26, 2026
- End Date: April 27, 2026
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:30), weekdays and some weekends
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Ratios: 1:4
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Ohio RN license or compact nursing license
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
- BCLS, ACLS, and IV certification required
- Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Two professional references required (one from a manager/director or supervisor)
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage IVs, administer medications, and monitor patient vitals and responses
- Educate patients and families on treatments, procedures, and self-care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and timely charting
- Float to lower acuity units within the hospital as needed
- Perform and assist with medical/surgical procedures (Foleys, PICC, IV antibiotics, chest tubes, paracentesis, etc.)
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
