Travel Nursing Job Details

- Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry Unit
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: January 6, 2026
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:00), 3 shifts per week
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
- Weekend Requirement: As needed
- Float Requirement: May float to other Med/Surg Telemetry units
- On-call/Extra Shifts: 2 on-call or 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks required
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted; must be obtained before start)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (2 years preferred)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI
- Ability to pass arrhythmia and medication tests on first day of orientation
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred
- Must be able to pass a fit test (shaving may be required)
- COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Must be able to provide all requested time off at submission
- Travel nurses must live at least 75 miles from facility
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical and surgical needs
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage telemetry equipment
- Administer medications; manage IVs, central lines, and cardiac drips (no titration)
- Perform wound care, tracheostomy care, and manage feeding tubes and oxygen therapy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Float to other Med/Surg Telemetry units as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies
- Participate in on-call or extra shifts as required
