We are seeking a Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Certified Cardiologist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia, starting Jan 5, 2026. This role offers day shifts Monday through Friday with weekend and night call on a rotating basis. The assignment is focused on advanced heart failure and does not require invasive procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage patients with advanced heart failure, including those with ventricular assist devices
- Perform and interpret electrocardiograms (EKGs)
- Participate in rotating call coverage for nights and weekends
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records, adhering to institutional protocols
Additional Information
- Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
- AHF Fellowship with LVAD experience required
- DEA and active Virginia medical license required
- Board certification in Cardiology required
- Provider must be local; only mileage is reimbursed
- Temporary privileges available for candidates with a clean background
