Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive care to patients presenting to the emergency department
- Perform evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and implement treatment plans for a broad range of acute presentations
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in all aspects of emergency room care, including triage and ongoing management
- Document clinical findings and treatment in accordance with departmental protocols
- Maintain current certifications and adhere to facility policies
Additional Information
- Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Virginia
- Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine (NCCA, ANCC)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Participation in all shift types is mandatory; candidates available for days only will not be accepted
- Proof of ATLS required once in career
