Qualifications – Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities – Labor & Delivery RN
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns
- Monitor and assess patient status throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide appropriate clinical interventions
