- Location: Kinston, NC 28501 (Eastern North Carolina nursing jobs)
- Facility: Community Hospital Emergency Department (34 beds)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: January 20, 2026 – End: April 21, 2026)
- Shift: 3x12-Hour Day Shifts (07:00 – 19:00), every other weekend/holiday required
- Hours per Week: 36
- Type: Travel Nursing Job
- Charting System: Epic EMR
- Orientation: 24 hours
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, NIH/Stroke
- Experience with Epic charting system
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- First-time travel nurses welcome
- Willingness to float to similar or lower acuity units
- No local travelers within a 50-mile radius
ER RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages (average 100+ visits/day)
- Perform triage, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation procedures
- Administer emergency medications and manage acute medical conditions (stroke, trauma, psychiatric emergencies)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (MDs, PAs, IV teams, respiratory therapists)
- Utilize Epic EMR and Pyxis for documentation and medication management
- Maintain patient safety and compliance with hospital protocols
- Float to units with similar or lower acuity as needed
