- Patient Assignment: 2-3:1 ratio
- Float Requirement: May float to other ICU or Step-down units as needed
ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
- RN Critical Care certification (CCRN) preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (Neurosurgical ICU experience highly preferred)
- Proficient in invasive intracranial pressure monitoring and frequent neurological assessments
- Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring and routine CT, MRI, and Angio procedures
- Current immunizations and health screenings (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza, TB/PPD)
- Completion of skills checklist, competency exam, and background checks required
- Valid Driver's License or State ID required for submission
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver expert critical care to patients with acute neurological and neurosurgical conditions
- Monitor and manage invasive intracranial pressure devices in a Neuro ICU setting
- Perform frequent and thorough neurological assessments
- Provide advanced hemodynamic monitoring and interpret diagnostic imaging (CT, MRI, Angio)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Float to other ICU or step-down units as needed to support patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the highest standards of patient safety and clinical support
