RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Orthopedics Tele
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend scheduling requirement
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 during day shifts and 1:6 during night shifts
• Float to similar Med Surg Telemetry units (D1, F2) when needed
• Required certifications: RN License, ACLS, BLS
• Must have Med/Surg Telemetry skillset including head-to-toe assessments
• Orthopedic care knowledge required
• IV medication administration including management of Lasix drip, heparin drip, IVP metoprolol, diltiazem, and insulin IV or subQ
• Wound care experience including drain management and VACs
• NGT/G tube care and parenteral nutrition experience required
• Central line management including PICC/HD catheter/midlines
• Foley/nephrostomy/suprapubic catheter care
• Ostomy care and postoperative patient care
• Use equipment including Hoyer lift, automated BP machines, bladder scanner, remote telemetry monitoring, and vein finder
• Document using Altera/Allscripts Sunrise system
• Participate in daily MDRs on day shift Monday-Friday at 10:30-11:15 AM
• Work collaboratively with team for patient care excellence promotion
• Dress code requires scrubs and closed toe shoes (no crocs)
• Unit features 48 beds with average census of 27 patients
