Home Health RN Job Details
- Job Title: Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment
- Location: Dunedin, Florida (34698) – Tampa Bay Area
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- End Date: June 1, 2026
- Contract Length: 20 weeks
- Weekly Hours: 40 (Full-Time)
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts; flexible scheduling (Mon–Fri 8a–5p, Mon–Fri 9a–6p, Thurs–Mon, Fri–Tues, alternating weekends)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1300–$1390
- Patient Visits: 6–8 home health visits per day
- Self-Scheduling: Flexible to meet patient and office needs
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida or compact state (required at submission)
- Minimum 1 year of recent skilled home health nursing experience (private duty not accepted)
- Proficiency with OASIS documentation and care planning
- Current BCLS certification
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for patient visits
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation)
- Flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined)
- Recent direct patient care experience within the last 3 months
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility (per travel nurse guidelines)
- Ability to pass EKG exam (up to 3 attempts)
- Completion of required pre-start and annual modules (up to 8 hours billable)
- Smoke-free healthcare facility
Home Health RN Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in their homes across Dunedin, FL
- Conduct cardiopulmonary assessments, wound care (including wound vac and ABI compression dressing), and post-operative care
- Manage high-risk diagnoses: heart failure, COPD, myocardial infarction (MI), pneumonia, stroke
- Administer IV therapy, PICC line/midline care, SQ/IM injections, lab draws, and foley catheter changes
- Utilize OASIS for clinical documentation and care coordination
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team (Physical Therapy, Social Services, Pharmacy, etc.)
- Self-schedule patient visits and hours to meet patient and office needs
- Document all care using provided laptop and portable printer
- Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times
