Medical/Surgical RN Job Details

- Contract Duration: 12 weeks
- Nursing Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour nights)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Ratio: 1:5/6
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or compact state
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Epic EMR experience within the last year (must be listed on resume)
- Ability to float to other units as needed
- Solid black scrubs required
- Flexible scheduling required (no block scheduling)
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO) at submission
RN Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adolescent through geriatric patients with medical and surgical needs
- Care for a diverse patient population including general surgery, urology, women’s health, gynecology, plastics, ENT, trauma, cardiothoracic, orthopedic, spinal/neuro overflow, and select obstetrical cases
- Thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and adapt to changing patient needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
- Float to other hospital units as required to support clinical operations
