- Shifts: 3x12-hour rotating shifts per week (Day: 7:00am – 7:30pm / Night: 7:00pm – 7:30am; rotation may be required)
- Hours per Week: 36
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of recent Cardiac Stepdown RN experience (travel or permanent)
- Active Ohio Registered Nurse license or Compact State RN License
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross)
- NIHSS certification required
- Supervisory reference from Cardiac Stepdown (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director)
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Availability to work at least every other holiday during assignment
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions; respond promptly to changes
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
