RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in a 30-bed acute care unit providing medical-surgical and ICU level care
• Patient ratios range from 2-4:1 for ICU patients and 5-6:1 for medical-surgical patients
• Weekend rotation includes 3 Mondays and Fridays per 6-week scheduling period
• Holiday work required per staffing matrix
• Work in fast-paced, ever-changing environment caring for all acuity levels
• Utilize team-based care model with daily interdisciplinary meetings
• Perform IV starts, central line management, arterial line care, Foley catheter insertion
• Provide EKG monitoring and wound care
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, SCDs, Nova Stat glucometer, wound vac, Baxter feeding pump, lift equipment, and Pyxis system
• Use Cerner electronic medical record system
• Float to TCU as needed
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (must be completed prior to end of orientation)
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for nurses
• ICU/Stepdown experience preferred
• 1 year medical-surgical experience preferred

This regional hospital serves as a comprehensive healthcare facility providing acute care services with a 30-bed unit that cares for patients ranging from medical-surgical to ICU acuity levels. The facility operates using a team-based care model where healthcare providers including physicians, nurses, case management, pharmacists, and therapy staff collaborate daily to discuss patient care and discharge planning. The hospital maintains modern equipment and technology to support diverse patient needs and utilizes electronic medical records for efficient patient care coordination.
