RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend schedule
• 48-hour weekly guarantee available upon request
• Floating required but rarely needed
• 13-week assignment duration
• Patient ratio of 1:4-6 in 23-bed emergency department
• 2+ years of emergency room experience required
• Required certifications: NIHSS, SAMA or CPI, ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
• Fingerprints required for all New Mexico travelers
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Electronic medical records: Cerner system
• Mindray telemetry monitoring equipment
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated as long as same days are not required each week
• Provide comprehensive emergency care utilizing nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment for safe patient care delivery
• Delegate patient care priorities and provide supervision of assigned personnel
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education

Facility:

This medical center provides comprehensive emergency services with a 23-bed emergency department serving the local community and surrounding areas. The facility utilizes modern technology including Cerner electronic medical records and Mindray telemetry monitoring systems to ensure quality patient care. The emergency department maintains staffing ratios that support safe patient care while offering opportunities for professional growth and continuing education for nursing staff.
