About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Adelphi Medical Staffing to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Honolulu, Hawaii, 96817!

Summary:

Specialty: RN - Pre-Operative
Job Type: Contract/ Per Diem
Location: Honolulu, HI
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night (8, 10, or 12 hours)
Rate: $58.9 - 90/hr

Requirements:

Must hold active RN license in practicing state.
1 year of Pre-Op, PACU, or Surgical experience preferred.
Current BLS; ACLS often required by facility.
Strong assessment and IV-start skills.
Knowledge of surgical prep and safety standards.
Excellent communication and patient education skills.
Experience with EMR charting.

Responsibilities

Pre-Procedure:
- Perform preop assessments and review patient history.
- Verify consents, allergies, labs, and required tests.
- Start IVs and administer preoperative medications.

Coordination & Safety:
- Coordinate with surgical, anesthesia, and OR teams.
- Ensure patient safety and readiness for the OR.

Patient Education:
- Educate patients about the procedure and postop care.
