Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience.
- Previous charge/leadership experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily ER operations and coordinate patient flow to ensure timely, quality care.
- Serve as the primary resource and point of escalation for ER staff during the shift.
- Support triage processes, prioritize care based on acuity, and allocate staff appropriately.
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and emergency interventions.
- Monitor adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to facilitate care coordination.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling adjustments, and assignment of duties.
- Mentor, guide, and support nursing staff; help resolve clinical or operational issues.
- Document patient care accurately and ensure compliance with hospital and ER policies.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and emergency response activities.
