Assignment Length: 16 weeks (extension possible)

Nursing Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
Experience in large (500+ bed), teaching hospital required
EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
Prior travel nursing experience preferred; may be waived for candidates with large facility experience
Active Registered Nurse license (RN license)
Required certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, TNCC
Preferred certifications: CEN, ENPC, MOAB, ProAct, or other de-escalation training
Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (no public transportation access)
Ability to work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a busy ED
Respond quickly to changing patient conditions and emergencies
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and patient management
Maintain flexibility with rotating shifts and every other weekend scheduling
Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development
Comply with all hospital policies, including documentation of work history and employment gaps
