ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Stayton, Oregon.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• May be asked to participate in holiday rotation if it falls on regularly scheduled shift
• 2-week block scheduling created by management with nights typically grouped in 3-4 consecutive shifts
• Work on combined Med Surg/IMCU unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 for Med Surg and 1:3 for IMCU
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including COPD, CHF, pneumonia, hypertension, and Type 2 diabetes
• Some pediatric patients on unit
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Heparin
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS; PALS preferred
• Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, Bi-PAP, ventilators, Vapotherm, and high flow oxygen
• No floating requirements unless prior ED experience (may assist in ER or ICU without patient assignment)
• No call or standby requirements
• Any color scrubs allowed
• 1-2 shift orientation with preceptor
• First time travelers accepted
• Use EPIC charting system
• BSN not required

This 40-bed community hospital operates as a Level 4 trauma center, providing comprehensive acute care services in a smaller, more intimate healthcare setting. The facility features a combined Med Surg/IMCU/ICU floor design that promotes collaborative care and efficient resource utilization. The hospital emphasizes the importance of staff flexibility and teamwork, requiring healthcare professionals who can function effectively with more limited resources while maintaining high-quality patient care standards.
