Labor & Delivery RN Job Details
- Location: Newnan, Georgia 30265 (Atlanta metro area)
- Assignment Length: 12 weeks
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- End Date: April 6, 2026
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
- Call: 1 shift per 6 weeks
- Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1710 - $1750
Labor & Delivery Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (no first-time travelers)
- Active Georgia or Compact Registered Nurse license (must be in hand at submission)
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Experience with Epic EMR charting system preferred
- Ability to provide two supervisory references (Manager or above)
- Must complete compliance requirements and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns in the Labor & Delivery unit
- Circulate for C-sections and provide post-surgical patient recovery
- Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients
- Utilize External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM)
- Administer Pitocin (oxytocin) and insulin drips as needed
- Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC)
- Implement isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Float within facility/scope of practice as needed
- Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as required
