RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - MICU

Job Details:

• 48-hour guarantee with rapid response assignment
• Weekend rotating shift schedule
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No call requirements
• 2+ years MICU/MSICU experience required
• Must maintain active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• CCRN certification preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• Work with all ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors
• Perform procedures including central line placements, bedside procedures like thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, and other ICU procedures
• Documentation using Meditech system
• Assignments based on acuity and skills with floating as needed
• Royal blue scrubs required for RNs
• Clean and healthy nails with no artificial nails, gel, or extensions
• Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors, pulled back if shoulder length or longer
• Body art should be covered whenever possible
• No visible piercings other than ears permitted

This major healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical intensive care unit (MICU) providing critical care services for the most seriously ill patients. The facility features state-of-the-art ICU equipment and technology, including advanced monitoring systems and life support equipment. The unit maintains high standards for patient care with assignments made according to patient acuity and staff skills, ensuring optimal outcomes for critically ill patients requiring intensive medical intervention.
