A few must-haves for this position:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed to practice as an RN in the state of MN. License is active and in good standing.
- Prefer at least two (2) years of experience as a hospice RN and at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Able to travel within geographic area serviced by the office. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
- CPR Certification
Some functions of what you would do in this role:
- Plans, assigns and monitors the work of Hospice staff.
- Hires, supervises, evaluates, motivates and develops professional and paraprofessional employees; oversees scheduling of assigned staff for maximum productivity.
- Creates and assists in the development of recruitment strategies and orientation/on-boarding of new staff.
- Leads Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings and actively participates in facility and team meetings as needed and requested.
- Contributes to business growth by presenting information, education and support to external customers and potential customers as requested, either directly or through coaching staff members.
- Manages Hospice case load as business needs may require.
- Provides educational opportunities and in-services to hospice employees to meet quality standards, agency policy and all regulatory standards. Advises employees of any changes or updates in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
