Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in hospital telemetry nursing
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Strong clinical assessment and cardiac monitoring skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients in the telemetry unit, interpret cardiac rhythms, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, procedures, and discharge planning
