Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour rotating shifts, primarily nights (2 months nights 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 1 month days 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Weekend requirements: Up to 5 weekend shifts per schedule for nights (Friday/Saturday/Sunday), 4 weekend shifts per schedule for days (Saturday/Sunday)
• Holiday requirement if contract falls during holiday period
• Patient ratios vary from 1:1, 1:2, to 1:3 depending on ICU and step-down patient mix
• Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
• 2 years of PICU experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• ECMO and CRRT experience preferred
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only)
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks (guaranteed hours protection)
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
• Care for pediatric patients ages 0-18 with medical and surgical diagnoses including respiratory compromise, trauma, post-operative patients, and neurology/neurosurgery cases
• Provide intensive care including ventilatory and cardiac support, ECMO/CRRT, and complex supportive therapies
• During hurricane season (June-November), may be assigned to emergency response teams

This 820-bed Level I Trauma Center is a Magnet-designated teaching facility featuring a 28-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The facility serves as a quaternary referral center for the region, providing intensive and intermediate care to children from across South Carolina. The unit offers comprehensive pediatric critical care services including ECMO, CRRT, renal dialysis, and complex supportive therapies, with specialized teams and therapeutic services available including respiratory therapy, pediatric dietitians, and pediatric pharmacists.
