RN - Observation Unit

Job Details:

• Work in the Clinical Decision Unit on 2 East MS/Tele unit
• 26-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 shifts
• Float to all 3 hospitals (Martin North, South, Tradition - within 20 miles)
• 18 months telemetry/acute care experience required; 2 years preferred
• PCU experience required with strong vasoactive drip experience mandatory
• Required certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS (must have at time of submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
• Must be nicotine free - negative 10 panel + nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required
• White scrubs required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• EKG and Pharm test required during orientation with maximum 2 attempts each
• Skills include telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, cardiac drip management, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
• Time sensitive modules must be prioritized once assignment is confirmed
• All RTO must be included at time of submission - no later additions accepted
• Two references from direct supervisor/manager required
• No license hits accepted

This 332-bed short term acute care teaching facility operates as a Magnet-recognized hospital providing comprehensive medical services. The facility maintains high standards for patient care and safety, implementing strict policies including a smoke-free environment and comprehensive orientation programs. The organization utilizes EPIC charting systems and offers free parking in unrestricted spaces for staff.
