Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Stepdown RN experience with travel, or 3 years PCU/Stepdown experience without travel
- At least 1 completed previous travel nurse assignment
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the healthcare facility
- BLS certification (valid for duration of assignment)
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Cerner electronic charting experience preferred
- Comfortable managing high patient ratios in a clinical setting
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to cardiac stepdown patients in the IMU/Stepdown Unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, responding to changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient care using Cerner (preferred)
- Float between similar units and campuses within a 20-mile radius as needed
- Participate in orientation and comply with all facility policies and procedures
- Work at least 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if assignment overlaps
