Travel Nursing Job Details

- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
- Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158
- Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (Second Floor)
- Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/17/2025 – End: 2/16/2026)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Patient Ratios: Days – 1:5, Nights – 1:6
- Charting System: Epic (Epic experience preferred)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin or Compact RN license (required at submission)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- BLS and NIHSS certifications (must have before start date)
- Ability to interpret and sign off on telemetry strips
- Two professional references from the past year (one from most recent assignment)
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- No latex allergy (facility cannot accommodate latex allergies)
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Monitor, interpret, and document telemetry rhythms using Epic EHR
- Administer medications and blood products per physician orders
- Initiate and maintain IVs and peripheral lines
- Implement isolation precautions and infection control protocols
- Utilize rapid response and code teams as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
- Document patient care in Epic electronic health record system
- Participate in orientation and complete all required training modules
