ICU Nursing Job Details
- Location: Glens Falls, NY 12801 (New York ICU nursing jobs)
- Facility: 16-bed Intensive Care Unit with overflow capacity
- Assignment Type: Travel ICU RN
- Start Date: December 1, 2025
- End Date: February 28, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday; no on-call required
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990-$2130
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of RN experience, including 2.5 years in Critical Care or ICU
- Active New York RN license (NY nursing jobs)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- EPIC charting experience required; Cerner experience preferred
- De-escalation training (Welle, CPI, or PMCS) required
- Ability to float to Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units (max 4 patients)
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Flu vaccination required (religious/medical documentation accepted)
- Must not have worked as staff at this facility in the past year or full-time within the AMC network in the past six months
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients with critical conditions
- Monitor and manage invasive pressure, cardiac, and oximetry equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Float to Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units as needed
- Participate in de-escalation and crisis intervention procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and Cerner systems
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Comply with all facility policies, including shift cancellation and vaccination requirements
