- Unit: Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
- Start Date: December 1, 2025
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts/week)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Openings: 3 Registered Nurse positions available
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1700 - $1820
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kentucky or compact state)
- BLS Certification (required before first shift)
- ACLS Certification (required before first shift)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and prioritize patient safety
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and create individualized patient care plans
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care in accordance with clinical protocols and safety standards
- Supervise and guide Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record
- Participate in interdisciplinary healthcare team conferences and support patient rehabilitation programs
- Initiate discharge planning and provide patient/family education from admission
- Maintain a safe hospital environment by following policies and reporting hazards
- Foster a positive team culture and participate in unit-based activities
- Assume charge nurse duties as needed after orientation
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education for nursing jobs
