Oncology RN Job Details
- Location: Gillette, Wyoming 82716
- Healthcare Setting: Outpatient Oncology Infusion Center
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
- Start Date: December 15, 2025
- End Date: March 16, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts (7am–5pm), 4 shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,190 - $2,350
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN)
- Active Wyoming RN license or Compact State Registered Nurse license
- ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) Certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Epic EMR experience highly preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in oncology nursing or medical/surgical nursing preferred
- Ability to maintain all required nursing certifications and continuing education
Oncology Nurse Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the Infusion Center Manager and multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Deliver professional nursing care to oncology patients receiving intravenous therapies and infusion treatments
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor and document patient status during infusion therapy
- Educate oncology patients and families about treatments, procedures, and care plans
- Maintain professional nursing standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant healthcare environment
- Provide clinical support to other nursing units as needed
- Perform other nursing duties as assigned
