Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a night shift role requiring ARRT (CT), BLS, and Epic EMR proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute care setting as part of the CT imaging team
- Patient population includes both adults and pediatrics for general CT exams; IR procedures are performed on adults only
- Night shift schedule with 10-hour shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Wednesday through Saturday
- No weekend or holiday shifts required
- No call responsibilities
- Two CT technologists work inpatient, and one technologist covers outpatient during shifts
- Equipment used includes Canon/Toshiba and Fuji Synaps systems
- Epic EMR is used for charting and documentation
- Perform all routine CT imaging studies for both adult and pediatric patients
- There is no lead tech; supervision is provided by the radiology manager
- Facility will not provide a radiation badge; traveler must obtain this through their agency
- A current, unexpired driver’s license must be provided for consideration
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local travelers are not eligible
- Former employees and travelers must have a 2-year break from WVU facilities before returning
- Must be able to work within a team-based environment alongside at least one other technologist
- Orientation length varies by modality but is typically up to 2 weeks
- Black scrubs are required attire for all techs
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent CT technologist experience
- Active ARRT certification with CT preferred
- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- Must have or obtain a valid state radiologic technologist license where applicable
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Ability to start IVs is required
- Must wear black scrubs while on duty
- Radiation badge must be provided by the traveler’s agency
