Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level 1 trauma center, requiring ARRT certification and recent trauma experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Level 1 trauma center with 5 interventional radiology (IR) rooms and coverage in the OR for vascular surgery
- Department performs IR, Neuro IR, Neurosurgery intervention, vascular surgery, and stroke intervention
- Rooms include Siemens Artis Z (single and biplane), two Philips Azurion units, and a C-Arm room primarily for Mediports and tunneled lines
- Frequent use of Jetstream, Angiojet, CSI, IVUS, and Penumbra systems for vascular and neuro procedures
- Cases include neuro interventions (aneurysm coilings, pipeline stent placements, AVM treatments), urologic and liver procedures, dialysis, embolizations, trauma, and GI
- Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an option for 4x10 hour shifts
- No local candidates accepted; must reside outside a 75-mile radius
- Role covers a diverse range of IR and Neuro IR procedures, including emergent trauma and stroke cases
- Mid-level team room for Mediport placements and various minor procedures
- Biplane unit primarily used for neuro procedures
- Exposure to advanced vascular and neuro interventional technology and techniques
- All required certifications must be current for consideration
Requirements
- Current ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
- At least 1 year of experience in interventional radiology
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the past 2 years
- License required if applicable and must remain active during the assignment
