The Boeing Company has a number of openings for Process Mechanic – Aircraft Painters in St. Louis, MO.
A successful painter will prepare, paint, and finish coating to aircraft, parts, and assemblies. While on the shop floor you will also lay out paint schemes and designs. You will performs and complete specialized paint assignments. Teammates will identify nonconforming detail parts, assemblies and processes. You will be expected to work with engineering to improve manufacturing processes.
Position Responsibilities:
Layout and paint lettering, pictures and background with or without aids.
Fabricate stencils, mix paints, layout and apply stripes, layout and apply insignias.
Layout, spray paint and apply finish coats on exterior surface of completed aircraft and major assemblies.
Blend, apply stripes and bands; apply insignia and lettering with aids such as templates, stencils and silk screens.
Polish completed aircraft and major assemblies. Mix and apply paint, sealers and fillers.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location option.
Process Mechanics may also be required to perform the duties of the following job classifications: Welder Production, Sheet Metal Fabricator, Painter Sign, Mechanic Tube and Cable, Painter Spray, Plater Precision, Operator Chemical Processor, Operator Nameplate Processing, and Machine and Hand Sewer.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Typical Education / Experience:
High school graduate or GED. Prefer a minimum of one (1) or more years of related work experience.

This is an hourly position that is governed by the IAM 837 Collective Bargaining agreement.
New Hires, as well as employees who transfer from non-union positions, may be required to attend some type of training upon their start. All new employees, rehires without seniority or transfers from outside of IAM 837 jurisdiction, shall be regarded as probationary during their first one hundred twenty (120) calendar days of employment. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of any required training and the probationary period.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $22.00/Hourly- $24.15/Hourly
