Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and recent MS/Tele experience.
Responsibilities
- Work on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital environment
- Night shift position with 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Typical patient ratio is 1:4
- Care for adult patients requiring med/surg and telemetry monitoring
- Epic charting experience is required
- Responsibilities include IV starts, medication administration, patient teaching, and general med/surg tele nursing duties
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Time off must be requested at time of application to be considered
- Urgent fingerprinting process must be completed promptly for credentialing
- Comprehensive patient care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- First time travelers are welcome to apply
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand
- Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele RN experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- IV certification required
- Ability to perform IV starts, labs, patient monitoring, medication administration, and patient education
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required, one from a supervisor or manager
- Former employees eligible if at least 6 months have passed since last employment
- Current employees of Ohio State University hospitals are not eligible
