Registered Nurse Job Details

- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: December 1, 2025 – End: March 2, 2026)
- Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680 – $1720
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Unit Size: 32 beds
ER RN Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room or acute care nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – compact or Ohio state RN license required
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system preferred
- Experience in community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I/II settings preferred
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions considered)
- Ability to provide two professional references (one must be from a supervisor/manager or charge RN)
Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department Observation Unit for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Monitor and manage telemetry and dysrhythmia for diverse patient populations
- Provide PCU/Stepdown level care, including IV insulin and heparin protocols
- Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Manage blood product administration, tracheostomy care, wound care, and wound vacs
- Participate in rapid response teams and emergency interventions
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EHR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and more
- Care for patients with renal failure, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other complex medical conditions
