Registered Nurse Job Details

- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30)
- Total Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680 - $1720
- Patient Age Groups: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Staffing Ratio: 1:4
- Charting System: EPIC (preferred)
- Flu Vaccine: Required (medical exemptions only)
ER RN Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room or Emergency Department Observation nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – compact RN license or Ohio state RN license required
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system preferred
- Experience in community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I or II settings preferred
- Two professional references required (at least one from a nurse manager, director, or supervisor)
Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations in the Emergency Department Observation Unit
- Manage telemetry, dysrhythmia, PCU/stepdown care, IV insulin and heparin protocols, renal failure, cardiac and vasoactive drips (including titration), and blood product administration
- Perform tracheostomy management, wound care/wound vac, and non-invasive airway management (CPAP/BIPAP, oxygen therapy)
- Utilize rapid response teams and respond to emergency situations as needed
- Document patient care accurately using the EPIC charting system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy
- Float to other hospital units as required to support patient care
