ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Albany, Georgia.

Opportunity:

RN - Acute Med Surg Acute Care

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with start times between 6:45-7:15 AM or PM
• Every other weekend rotation with permanent staff
• Patient ratios of 1:6 for both day and night shifts
• 2 years of experience required in medical surgical specialty
• Must have experience with high acuity, high turnover, and fast-paced environment
• Experience at larger organizations required - no Critical Access Hospitals
• Strict 75-mile radius rule for local candidates
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS; ACLS preferred
• Care for patients with diabetes, CHF, COPD, GI bleed, renal failure, dialysis overflow, post-surgical patients, amputations, debridement, wound care, DVTs, ETOH, and psychiatric patients
• Administer medications including Lasix, Bumex, and Heparin
• Use CPAP equipment and BIPAP (night shift only)
• Chart using MEDITECH 6.1 system
• Dress code: Caribbean Blue scrubs (top and bottom), White top with Caribbean Blue bottom, or all white scrubs
• NO artificial nails, shellac nails, or nail polish allowed due to CLABSI prevention
• No bags allowed at nurses station - lockers available with personal locks
• Strict attendance policy enforced
• NO BLOCKED SCHEDULING permitted
• May float to other acute care units and cardio for medical patients or emergency department for acute care holds
• Primary care nursing model with focus on patient satisfaction, quality of care, and patient safety

This 483-bed main campus healthcare facility serves as a major medical center providing comprehensive acute care services. The medical surgical unit features 14 beds with a focus on high-acuity patient care in a fast-paced environment. The facility maintains strict safety protocols and quality standards, utilizing advanced medical technology and evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
