Trauma RN Job Details
- Location: Conroe, Texas 77304
- Unit: Orthopedic Surgical Trauma (OST) – 4th Floor
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7p-7a)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule
- Number of Positions: 2
- Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1360-$1460
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience
- Experience with chest tube management
- Trauma nursing experience preferred
- Strong time management and flexibility
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR is a plus
Trauma RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to trauma and orthopedic surgical patients
- Manage chest tubes, traction, orthopedic equipment, IVs, oxygen therapy, tracheostomies, and drains
- Assist with lines and drains procedures
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Float to Medical Surgical units as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
- Demonstrate flexibility and excellent time management in a busy clinical environment
