ICU RN Job Details
- Location: Marquette, MI 49855 (Upper Peninsula – Michigan nursing jobs)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
- Unit: Level 2 ICU (24 beds, Open Heart program, Cath lab, Neuro Surgery, CRRT)
- Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Electronic Health Record: Cerner
- Dress Code: Scrubs in Galaxy, Royal, or Navy Blue
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100 - $2250 per week
ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (Michigan or compact state preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Experience with ventilated ICU patients
- Ability to float to other units as needed (IMCU, etc.)
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Preferred: Experience in CVICU, Neuro ICU, organ donation, or pediatric DKA
ICU RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in a Level 2 ICU
- Monitor and manage complex conditions: post-open heart, heart failure, respiratory failure, trauma, stroke, and septic shock
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced ICU equipment: Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell, Prisma Flex CRRT, Impella, IABP, EVDs, bolt monitoring, ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Float to other hospital units as required, following rotation schedules
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EHR
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards
