- Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (06:45-19:15 or 09:00-21:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks
- On-call: Limited to coverage for call-offs
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- Floating: May float to similar units or affiliate hospitals
- Charting System: Epic EMR
- Scrub Color: Provided
- Parking: Free onsite parking
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
- Active Alaska RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand for auto offer)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
- Travel nursing experience required
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
- Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver expert perioperative nursing care for trauma, cancer, pediatric, orthopedic, neuro, ENT, urology, dental, eye, gynecological, vascular, and day surgery patients
- Circulate and scrub a variety of surgical procedures: bariatric, ortho/spine, neuro, gyn, ENT, breast, Ivor Lewis/Whipple, urology, and vascular surgeries
- Utilize advanced surgical technologies including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, Mazor Robot Spine, and Stealth
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: radiology, pharmacy, lift teams, and unit secretaries
- Float to similar units or affiliate hospitals as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide weekend coverage
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
- Comply with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards
