Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with TAVR and EP lab experience, ARRT credential, and OBMI license for a dynamic cardiovascular team.
Responsibilities
- Position based in a cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab environment
- Adult patient population with a focus on cardiac and structural heart cases, including TAVR and TMVR procedures
- Operates fluoroscopy equipment and may assist in the SOR Hybrid OR room
- Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- Call required: one night call per week (6:00 PM to 7:30 AM) and one full weekend call per month (Friday 6:00 PM to Monday 7:30 AM), with no regular weekend working shifts
- May float to affiliate hospitals within unit requirements
- Primary responsibilities include performing and assisting in cardiac cath and EP lab procedures, operating fluoroscopy, monitoring, scrubbing, and participating in unit development projects
- Duties also include stock and supply management and assisting with cross-training as needed
- Assignment may involve performing TAVR/TMVR procedures and supporting EP cases
- May be required to complete pre-start education modules
- Scrub attire required per department policy
- Return staff policy requires six months gap before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Requested time off must be submitted in advance and cannot exceed two weeks
Requirements
- Current ARRT credential and OBMI license required; valid state license preferred at the time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent cath lab experience required
- Significant EP lab experience required
- Documented TAVR procedural experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Epic charting system experience required
- References from two managers or supervisors within last 24 months required, or one within 24 months and a second within past 3-5 years if necessary
- COVID-19 vaccination proof required
- Must have a clean background and license history with no hits
