Job Details:
• Work five 8-hour shifts per 7-day work week with Monday-Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Call requirements (determined based on staffing at service start)
• Some weekends may be required (determined based on staffing needs)
• Perform primary functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care
• Provide circulate, scrub and hemodynamic monitoring duties with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Perform interventional radiology procedures, holding area procedures, and imaging department nursing care support
• Provide pre-procedural, intra-procedural, and post-procedural care and patient instruction
• Administer moderate sedation to patients undergoing procedures
• Work with EPIC charting system
• Nurse to patient ratio in 4-6 room unit (new service line)
• Dress code: Scrubs
• Graduate of a school of nursing required
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience in cardiac cath or interventional radiology required
• Current Alaska Registered Nurse license required
• CPR certification through American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification through AHA required upon hire
• PALS or ENPC certification through AHA required within 6 months of hire
• Must demonstrate clinical competence in basic cardiac physiology/pathology and 12-Lead EKG interpretation
• Knowledge of physiologic monitoring, pacemaker operations, and cardiac care equipment required
• Ability to use radiographic equipment as requested or assigned
