Telemetry RN Job Details – Austin, TX
- Location: Austin, TX 78704 (Texas healthcare jobs)
- Facility: 34-bed Telemetry Unit (3 South)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Travel nursing contract)
- Start Date: December 1, 2025
- End Date: March 2, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour days (07:00 – 19:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Schedule: Every other weekend required
- Employment Type: Travel RN
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,360–$1,460 per week
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Texas or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
- Experience with respiratory care, advanced airways, and oxygen management
- Familiarity with cardiac drips (non-titrated)
- Excellent teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare setting
Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in a 34-bed Telemetry unit
- Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms
- Manage respiratory needs, including advanced airway and oxygen therapy
- Administer cardiac drips as ordered (non-titrated)
- Assist with cardiac and medical procedures: stress tests, heart catheterizations, CABG, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and chest tube management
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team (RNs, PCTs, unit clerks)
- Float as needed to Med Surg, Med Surg Telemetry, and ED holding areas
- Document patient care using Meditech EMR
