Med/Surg RN Job Details
- Location: Fargo, North Dakota 58104
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/22/2025 – End: 3/23/2026)
- Healthcare Setting: Acute care, Medical-Surgical Unit (32 private beds)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour Day/Night rotation (includes every other weekend and holiday)
- Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2050 - $2200
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state (required for travel nurse jobs)
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in a large hospital (250+ beds)
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma healthcare setting
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR and clinical support technology
- Willingness to float to all Medical-Surgical units across three Fargo campuses
- Must not reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive care to adult medical/surgical patients, including behavioral health cases
- Collaborate with inter-professional healthcare teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Demonstrate competency with unit equipment (EPIC, Telemetry, Philips monitors, Bladder scanner, Acuivein, Omnicell)
- Float to other Med/Surg units as needed to support clinical staffing
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1 (days) and 6:1 (nights)
- Comply with facility policies, including wearing navy blue scrubs and proper badging procedures
