- Assignment Type: Travel Nurse Contract
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- End Date: April 13, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night shift, Friday–Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Unit: Emergency Department (38 beds, 30 rooms)
- Patient Ratios: 5:1 (nights/weekends)
- Orientation: 36 hours
ER RN Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room Registered Nurse experience
- Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact State RN license (required at submission)
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (required); TNCC and TNS (preferred)
- Experience with Epic EMR charting system preferred
- Level II Trauma Center nursing experience preferred
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Ability to provide clinical care for all age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
- No latex allergy (facility cannot accommodate latex allergies)
Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department
- Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for emergency conditions including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and behavioral health emergencies
- Administer emergency medications, manage IVs, and perform advanced procedures such as central line care, chest tube management, and procedural sedation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR system
- Participate in orientation and ongoing nursing education modules
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
