Travel Anesthesia Technician Job Details

Location: Clinton, Maryland 20735 (Washington, D.C. metro area)
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1030-$1100
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Surgical Services
Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts/week (12:00 PM – 8:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 40
Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
Unit: Anesthesia Tech (Endoscopy, OB, and EP float required)
Orientation: 16 hours
Weekend Coverage: No required weekend shifts

Anesthesia Technician Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as an Anesthesia Technician in a hospital or clinical setting
Certified Anesthesia Technician (preferred)
BLS certification required
Valid Maryland or Compact State License
Previous charge experience preferred
Ability to float to Endoscopy, OB, and EP units as needed
Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Local candidates within 60 miles accepted
Two (2) supervisor references required
First-time healthcare travelers welcome

Anesthesia Technician Responsibilities

Assist anesthesia providers in critical and routine procedures in the operating room
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot anesthesia machines and related medical equipment
Prepare and maintain operating rooms for anesthesia procedures, including room turnover and equipment sterilization
Support patient transport to and from the operating room
Draw blood via arterial and venous access as needed
Assist with emergency intubations and airway management
Ensure proper documentation of procedures and adherence to hospital safety protocols
Float to Endoscopy, OB, and EP units as required
Participate in ongoing training and orientation modules
