As an FSR Field Service Representative specializing in
Reciprocating Compressors & integral gas Engines (RCE), you will travel to
client facilities across the US and some international. You will
provide technical advisory services on process reciprocating compressors,
high-speed compressors, integral gas engines, and related accessory
equipment. Your responsibilities include scheduled maintenance, installing
upgrades or new equipment, and responding to unplanned events. Your role is
crucial in improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime! You will
facilitate communication between field personnel and Siemens Energy engineering
centers, ensuring flawless execution of tasks. Documenting clearances,
addressing technical queries, and managing job progress are essential for your
success.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Maintain the
highest level of a zero-harm culture by following and enforcing all
company and customer EHS policies and programs.
- Interact with
different levels of customer and Siemens organizations to report progress,
resolve issues, and identify potential services to be offered based on
customer needs.
- Perform complex
problem solving on machinery and ancillary systems. Coordinate with
engineering in reporting and implementing changes to resolve issues.
- Provide
technical directions to client or Siemens Energy employees. Communicate
progress, schedules, and open items with clients; Prepare detailed
technical reports.
- Travel for
extended periods of time, both domestic and some international as
assigned. (International assignments may include travel to developing
countries.)
- Able to perform
duties on day or night shift under difficult conditions, heat, cold,
noise, etc. Able to travel on short notice and work weekends and holidays.
Physical ability to climb ladders and work around machinery.
What You Bring
- High School
Diploma/GED that can be verified with 7+ years of combined experience with
overhauling process reciprocating compressors, high-speed compressors,
integral gas engines; a Bachelor's degree in related field with relevant experience
is preferred.
- Advanced
proficiency in precision measurement and ability to
understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Excellent and
professional oral and written communication skills, and the ability to conduct
difficult discussions with clients to protect company interests;
negotiating skills are a valuable plus.
- Must be
proficient using Microsoft Office and web-based portals; Basic
understanding of instrumentation and control systems, PLC’s, etc. is
preferred.
- Must hold valid
driver’s license and either hold or able to obtain a passport and TWIC
card.
- Ability to
complete offshore survival training if requested.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the
United States without need for urgent or future employer-sponsored work
authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be
eligible for internal transfers.
