Telemetry RN Job Details
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910 - $1960
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks

- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00), 3 shifts/week

- Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5 (nights)
- Charting System: Epic
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (prior to assignment)
- Proficiency in Epic charting system
- Ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
- Strong clinical skills in central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, and rapid response activation
- Two professional nursing references required
- COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage patients on telemetry, including cardiac rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management
- Administer medications, manage IV drips, and provide oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management
- Care for patients with central and peripheral lines, including blood product administration
- Implement isolation precautions and proper PPE usage
- Document patient care and progress using Epic EMR
- Participate in rapid response team activations
- Provide post-surgical care for patients recovering from cancer surgeries, vascular procedures, and wound care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
- Float to other nursing units as needed within the hospital
