Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a PACU position requiring an active GA or compact RN license and at least 18 months of recent PACU experience.

Responsibilities

Position is in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at a hospital setting
Works primarily with post-anesthesia surgical patients
Assignment is for 13 weeks with 10-hour PM shifts
No on-call responsibilities
Position involves providing immediate post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery
Time off (RTO) is capped at 5 days during the contract, or 3 days if the time off falls on or near a holiday
Only 1 holiday request is permitted per assignment
Multiple days of RTO clustered around holidays will not be approved
Returning travelers must include the last 5 digits of their SSN in required forms

Requirements

Active GA or compact RN license required and must be in hand
Minimum of 18 months of recent RN experience, ideally in PACU or post-anesthesia care
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
Former staff must be separated for 1 year before returning to the health system, and 18 months if returning to the same facility
